Data Storage Policy:

Your personal information will be stored for as long as your account is active and for as long as necessary to meet legal requirements, resolve disputes and maintain uphold agreements.

Personal Information Sharing Policy

When you register with Consultation Companion, we collect identifiable Personal Information about you, such as your first and last name, address, mobile phone number, gender, email address, date of birth, username, and password, and any other information you provide to us. If you are a healthcare professional who uses Consultation Companion to consult with patients, we may collect information about your practice. However, you may be unable to use certain features if you do not provide this information.    We may collect your Sensitive Information such as health information, medical information, medication, family health history, racial or ethical origin, political, regional, professional associations, beliefs, practices, criminal record, and biometric information. We may collect Medical Information such as prescriptions, medical certifications, or documents and information to arrange medical care services including appointment booking and telehealth consultation. We collect your Communication Information in Consultation Companion for analytics purposes, including images, audio, videos, written consent, and consent forms. All messages are end-to-end encrypted. We automatically collect Usage Data which is information about how users access and use our Services. We might use Cookies to collect details about your computer, device, connection, and browser, as well as your IP address, location, and demographics. To processing payments, we may also collect your Transactional Information such as credit or debit card numbers and Tax IDs.

How do we collect your Personal Information?

We collect your personal information directly from you when you provide it to us, or indirectly through our website, consultation, written correspondence, transactions with us, and the use of our cookies. We may obtain personal information about you from third parties, such as business partners and publicly available sources. If you are a patient, we collect information from healthcare providers, including any medical records.

  • allow you to connect with verified healthcare professionals that can provide you with healthcare services while using our platform;
  • provide you and your healthcare professional a secure communication platform to participate in telehealth services.

  • share your sensitive information with third parties as needed for the use of our services;
  • keep records internally and for administrative uses; 
  • contact and communicate with you for assistance; 
  • respond the requests, inquiries, and complaints; 
  • update you about new releases and services; 
  • analyse data, performing market research to enhance and manage our service standard and user experience;
  • determine user trends and evaluate the efficacy of our promotional campaigns;

  • How do we share your Personal Information?

    We may share your personal and sensitive information when necessary and with consent. Here are some ways we may share your information:

  • Healthcare Professionals: We may share your information with those involved in your care to determine whether a specific healthcare professional can assist you.
  • Third Parties: We may share your information with our business and commercial partners, healthcare service providers, and payment processors. We may be required to share your health information in accordance with Privacy Act and Apps for all individuals, Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (Establishing the Australian Digital Health Agency) Rule 2016,  Australian Privacy Act 1988, and Australian Capital Territory’s Health Records (Privacy and Access) Act 1997 (ACT) for individuals based in the ACT or when the contract was made in the ACT.
  • Data Access Policy: 

    You have the right to access, modify and delete the personal information we hold about you. You may request a duplicate of your personal information by contacting our customer support team. An administrative fee may be charged for the provision of such information.
    We may refuse to give you access to your personal information if:

  • It would be illegal;  
  • or denying access is required or authorised by Australian law or a court/tribunal order.
  • If we refuse to give you access to your information, we will inform you in written notice with an explanation.

    Data Sharing Agreement:

    When you share your personal and sensitive information with us, you agree that we may collect, store, use, and disclose that information in accordance with our Privacy Policy or as authorised or required by law.    We usually obtain consent from the owner of personal information before collecting it.     Providing your personal information or consenting to your healthcare providers or disclosing your personal or sensitive information to us is not mandatory. However, if you choose not to share this information, it may impact your use of our services. For instance, we may not be able to create a profile for you and arrange healthcare services for you.
